Judging Tips

Every project will be judged twice Friday evening for Divisional Awards.

  • Saturday morning, projects will be judged for Special Awards and Grand Awards.

  • Please be at your project when judging starts and stay close by. The judges may return with additional questions.

  • Make sure you verbally share all your key information. Judges only have 5-10 min. per project so make the most of that time!

  • Speak loudly and clearly, there is a lot of background noise.

  • Have fun and be confident. No one knows your project better than you do.

    Safety and Ethics

Please refer to Rules for complete information.

    • If you need access to an electrical outlet, please make sure you indicate so when registering online.
Remember that you must bring your own CSA approved cord of at least 10 m long.
All electrical equipment must also be CSA approved and in safe working order.
You will be required to pass a safety inspection during setup.

    • All projects involving human testing require prior, written consent by the test subjects or their legal guardians (if under 18).
Please have these forms at your display for review if requested.
